Campground Layout and Features
This campground has about 30 well-spaced campsites. Most sites are unpowered, with a small number of powered sites.
When arriving, look for the two giraffes. This is the entry point to the campground.
The majority of the sites are located near the entry point, with some at the rear of the property. The area is mowed grass and very level. Shrubs separate most unpowered sites, although they do not provide much privacy. During our stay, everyone was set up well apart from each other.
Water is available at this site. It is recommended that you fill your tanks before setting up. This may not be required for the powered sites.
Rubbish bins are also provided at this campground.
As stated earlier, you must be fully contained at this site. Grey water may be discarded on the grass in appropriate areas.
A laundry is available. It costs $4 for a wash and $5 for the dryer. The fee must be paid to the owner. We paid when we left the site.
Payment for your stay can be made on exit. Complete the details on the envelope available at the payment station. Place the fees in the envelope and deposit it in the box.
The maximum stay at this campground is three days.
Blizzardfield Campground Location
The campground is a 6km drive from central Dubbo. It is accessed via the Mitchell Highway (Narrowmine Road). The site is far enough off the highway to reduce all road traffic noise. It is located adjacent to the Dubbo airport, which is generally quiet at night.

What to Watch Out For at Blizzardfield Campground
Being located near the airport, there is some noise. The flights ceased fairly early in the evening. It did not bother us while we were there. The airport is a base for the Flying Doctor service so some night flights are possible.
Final Words
We enjoyed our stay here. It was relaxing with no issues found.
You will need to be prepared to meet Mr Darcy.
