Freycinet Golf Club Campground Coles Bay

Last Updated on 18 September 2026 by Rob

Freycinet Golf Club Campground (often called “Fairways“) is a strategic gem in Coles Bay.

Found just 10 minutes from the entrance of Freycinet National Park, this community-run site offers a reprieve from the tight bays of commercial parks while keeping you at the doorstep of the Hazards and Wineglass Bay. It is a “big rig”- friendly base, providing large, level grassy or gravel sites situated right alongside the fairways. Whether you are spending the morning on the greens or using the site as a quiet “staging post” for the park’s legendary hikes, the Golf Club delivers that rare mix of low-cost convenience and absolute peace under the shadows of the granite peaks.
