Campground Layout and Features

Reba Park Campground has about eight sites. It would be possible to get quite a few more, but there would be better options if the area has too many campers.

The camping area is on a gravel area between a park and a cement mixing plant. The area is sloped, so you will need to pick a spot where you can get level.

Other than recycling and rubbish bins, no other facilities are provided.

A dump point is located nearby and toilets are available in a rest area on the other side of the main road. The toilets are located 150 – 200 metres away.

The rest area on the other side of the road is also a free camp.

Reba Park Campsite Location

Reba Park Campground is located 800m from central Cobar. The map below shows the campground’s location. You can zoom out for a more general location.

What to Watch Out For at Reba Park Campground

In the past, there have been issues with youngsters throwing rocks at vans late at night. However, there are no recent reports of this still being an issue.

When the cement mixing plant is running, it could be a bit noisy at this site.

Final Words.

This is not a glamorous site. It is just a gravel area to stop at as you travel through Cobar. It is a place to stay to have a quick look around Cobar. Make sure you have a look around the adjacent miners’ park if you stay here.

Our Kidman Way itinerary uses that campground as a stay.
